Wild thickets thorn hedges
bar your way
wayless.
But the insight
at the bottom of all our souls
the same: and only.
Our only common inheritance
our only common ground
and bottom in depth of the most extreme necessity.
Amidst thorns and wounds
all at once
fragrant wide-open exhaling.
Mirjam Tuominen (1913 - 1967) Finland
