Beautiful planet Earth!
Splendid the heav'ns above!
Lovely the road we as pilgrims take.
Through earth's great kingdoms we
march, singing joyfully,
till we in Paradise awake.
Time comes unceasingly.
Nations are born – and die.
Earth too grows old as life flows along.
Through human history
Heaven's glorious melody
is echoed in our pilgrim song.
We sing with joy today
words first heard far away
from angel voices before the dawn:
Peace come to planet Earth!
Peace through a holy birth!
The Saviour of the world is born!
