The month of Jyeshtha (May/June) - Keshava Dasa

Air, water, ether, earth and fire —
all these five elements become one:
a blazing fire.
The wayfarers are exhausted
and the elephants become tame,
seeing the dried-up pool.
The cobra slithers up the elephant's trunk
and the tiger lies in its shade.
All creatures on earth
and in the water
are restless and weak.
This is why the wise enjoin
lovers not to leave home in this season.
