If it wasn't for the
pain
You might almost think the scene
inspiring.
If it wasn't for the
blood
You could almost imagine them
smiling.
If it wasn't for the
tears
You would think the women were
praying.
This isn't the scene of
paintings
Though, God knows, there are
enough.
This is God
dying,
And no amount of
imagination
comes close to our
experiencing
what He did for
us.
