The Muslims lived here long ago

And the Jews did too. O, woe!

For neither nation could agree 

To live together peaceably.

So for many years they have fought,

And in a web of hate they're caught.

Now the Muslims raid a Jewish place,

Some Jews they kill and some they take.

Then Jews collect their own resource

And retaliate with all their force:

For every Jew the Muslims slay

The Jews retaliate tenfold today.

Christian rulers on their thrones of gold

Pretend to care but they wax cold.

And so the vicious spiral grows

As more are killed and more blood flows.

Their God looks down upon this fray,

And weeps again for all this day.

All are His children: all the same,

He did not create us for this shame!

He sheds His tears and shakes His head

At the years of sorrow that lie ahead,

For God alone knows what we need,

Yet He's the last one that we heed!

So sad that we all three confess

He is our God, but still digress

From His clear way of truth and love,

That leads us all to heaven above.
