Here I stand - Simon Ng'uni

A man. Borne riddle in places.
This curvature of space. All that needs to fill,
Only a stroke. Working to undo errant stitches
More than a needle thread. A loom with which to.

I cannot undo yesterday, how the sun came up, and went down.
How the night crusted its firmness, over the lingering traces it quaffed along.
What mountain was born. Roots that are deep set, as we are,
The entropies we became. I've been looking for a way since.

To undo the snares. To be and in my own skin. Sure, of every step i take,
Knowing: action has consequence, i've been looking for a way
Since. To lose the fear, to do but with wisdom
To stand upon the faultiness and bridge the divide

I've been looking for a way since
To walk in the best of their intentions
To honour the efforts of those who truly tried
I've been looking for a way since. To run and not lose strength.

I've been looking for a way. To realize their dreams and my own
For freedom. To realize a joy beyond myself
I've been looking for something to pass on, something to outlast
The glory of this flower that i am, of this mist that fades with time.
