Love in Old Age - Paulus Silentiarius

Let others boast of charms divine,
The agile step and graceful air;
More lovely is thy wrinkled face,
And threads of silver in thy hair.

I'd rather fold thee in my arms
Than press the sweetest maid that lives;
Thy winter brings more warmth of love
Than all her youthful summer gives.

Paulus Silentiarius [Paul the Silentiary] (520 - 580) Turkey
