trees and the silence around us - Japhia Beckford

Trees are big
Trees are small
But no country has them all
Trees are tall
Trees are short
And each has a different purpose of some sort
Trees are green
Trees are brown
Especially out in Spanish Town
Trees are big
Trees are small
But no country can ever have them all
They are seen and also heard
When they leave they will never be forgotten
They are known by many
But seem to be wanted by none
They give you shade
And at nights tap on your window panes
As I said before and I'll say again
Trees are big
Trees are small
But no country will ever have them all.
