My Sinking Island, Kiribati - Lovelygal

Waves crashing onto shore
Rising higher more and more
People crying, people dying
There is no land to live on anymore
"Where has it gone?" The voices said,
Underwater where we used to tread
Fences, houses all is dead
A result of actions of those who may never regret
Of things such as greenhouse gases being released to the air
That causes many fruits of despair
Sinking islands, rising seas
A lone voice has only one plea
Keep our island so we can be free
Be responsible as much as you can be...
